Over a ten-year period, CMRA delivered a comprehensive social and rental housing capacity building programme across sixteen South African municipalities. This included producing and distributing 20 toolkits, benchmark reports, and good practice brochures to all 278 South African municipalities; conducting three Social Housing Benchmarks; and training approximately 650 municipal officials and councillors in the 13 Restructuring Zone municipalities on social and rental housing legislation, policy, and implementation.
