CMRA seconded staff to the Centre for Local Capacity Building (CLCB) to support five mining local authorities — Musina, Sol Plaatje, Ba-Phalaborwa, Lephalale, and Thabazimbi — in increasing economic development and growth. Services included conducting baseline assessments, equipping municipalities to align mining companies' Social and Labour Plans with IDPs, implementing bespoke action plans, facilitating policy coherence sessions, and facilitating peer learning with the former mining town of Zuid Limburg in the Netherlands.
