VNG International
The IDEAL Palestine programme aimed to build the capacity to design and implement inclusive Local Economic
Development projects and policies of staff and leaders of selected Palestinian municipalities and its supporting
organizations, i.e. the Ministry of Local Government (MoLG), the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF),
and the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities (APLA).
The purpose of this assignment was to prepare and coordinate all necessary arrangements in South-Africa for the
study tour group and hosts
Description of Actual Services Provided by Your Staff:
- Providing expert advice for the formulation of a study tour programme to VNG International Palestine team and its LED expert (hereafter: VNGIPS).
- Drafting a study tour project plan and keeping to it;
- At the request of VNGIPS providing status updates on the study tour’s preparations;
- Timely responses and actions to relevant and reasonable requests from VNGIPS;
- Advising VNGIPS on the visits and the programme, both in terms of their relation to the study visit goals and their practical feasibility;
- Providing VNGIPS with accurate and timely costing of associated costs, such as travel arrangements and livery;
- Liaising with VNGIPS and South-African stakeholders
